Gold is very precious and this is very much part of heaven. If you gave somebody a golden ring, it would imply that the person is important. Do you realise that your prayers are effective and very important to God?
Revelation 8: 1 – 5
And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
Did you notice that?
Verse 3 talks about an angel having a golden censer, with incense and this was offered with the prayers of “ all saints”? Verse 4 continues by saying that “the smoke of the incense which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God. Wow!! All from the golden censer.
If you notice only one golden censer is mentioned. Not two or three, just one. This one golden censer contains prayers of “all saints”, Not just the special saints, those with titles, special selected saints, but “all saints”. Your prayers are important to God and presented in a “golden censer”.
This is why prayer is so important. Do you realise that your prayers have an eternal weight to them? Prayers that you have prayed for revivals, children, grandchildren, and generations are all active and alive. The prayers of our Christian fore runners are all included in that same “golden censer”.
I will not go into verse 5, but it is evident that prayer is powerful!.
God is faithful and you mean so much to Him. Remember the “golden censer” whenever you pray and remember that your prayers are so important to God.
