When you face a challenge, what do you see? Many times when we go through difficult times, we sometimes have a tendency to focus on what is wrong, but is that the right approach? Lets look at an account in the bible. Numbers 20: 2- 8
And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron. 3 And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the Lord! 4 And why have ye brought up the congregation of the Lord into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there? 5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. 6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them. 7 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. The children of Israel encountered a challenge in the wilderness. They choose to forget all that the Lord had done for them. The Lord had brought them out of Egypt with a strong hand (Psalms 136: 10) - 13. The Lord parted the red sea for them (Psalms 136: 13). Would the Lord now leave them to thirst in the wilderness? A better approach instead of complaining would have been ; Wow!! God will do it again. The Lord that brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand, and parted the red sea yet will do it again. They should have been praising God in expectant of another miracle. They should have seen another opportunity to see the faithfulness of God. But they failed the challenge and murmured against God. When you go through a challenge what do you see? Do you see it as another opportunity to see the faithfulness of God? Do you recount and remember all the good things the Lord has done in the past, and see the challenge as yet another opportunity to see the faithfulness of God? What do you see? This is one reason the bible says that we should count it all joy: James 1; 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; The Lord is faithful!!, Are you going through a difficult time? What do you see? During difficult times, we need to focus on the goodness of the Lord, anticipating that yet again, He will show Himself strong on our behalf. So l ask again. What do you see? Do you see the faithfulness of the Lord? Do you see yourself coming out again, just as the Lord did it in the past? Do you see the Lord working already on your behalf? The Lord is never caught unawares. Before the challenge arose, the Lord knew. Your escape provision is already in place. What do you see? Bisi Oladipupo

Thanks for a wonderful post with a clear and strong message of working with God through difficulty. I loved the way you put it out there "What do you see?" "Opportunity". May Christ continue to bless you.
