 God’s word has not changed, and His truth endures to all generations (Psalms 100; 5).
Now let’s have a look at scripture: Romans 13; 3-5 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

 So what does it mean to be a busybody? My definition is getting involved in something that you are not invited to.
I know that sometimes there can be a fine line between trying to help people that you see require help, but it you are not invited, then you have to ask yourself “why do l want to get involved”?. The best option that anyone can do is to pray. If there is a problem that you know that you can help, but you are not invited, then simply pray.  So what does it mean to refrain something? It means to hold back, desist, withhold.
Have you ever seen a policeman trying to refrain an unlawful person? Well that is what refrain looks like. It is a deliberate action. You cannot be passive in refraining something.  What does a natural sword do? Its cuts, it is used for offence and defense.
Now let’s look at some scriptures; Hebrews 4; 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. |
