 The bible speaks about milk and strong meat. Let’s have a look at this scripture:
Hebrews 5; 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

 These principles are based on dealing with people in general and not marriage relationships. Let’s have a look at this scripture: Proverbs 25; 15- 18 By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone. Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it. Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee. A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.  In the book of Exodus the Lord told Moses to instruct the children of Israel to kill a lamb and put the blood on the doorpost so the destroyer would not come in. It was to ensure that the firstborn of the children of Israel were protected, Exodus 12; 13 “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt”.
