The Sword of the Spirit

What does a natural sword do? Its cuts, it is used for offence and defense.

Now let’s look at some scriptures;

​Hebrews 4; 12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Ephesians 6; 17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

From the above, we can see that;
The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword, any means any in the whole world, sharper than any sword that has ever been created.
God’s Word is “the sword of the spirit”.  Many Christians are engaging with other things, and leaving out the most important element the Lord has given us “His Word”.

We must allow God’s Word to do its work. God’s Word will do its work without our help. Those that carry a sword don’t have to pray before it works, it just does it job. So does God’s Word.

God’s Word is able to save our souls ( James 1; 21), cutting things out of our lives not required.
God’s Word is the sword of the spirit. It does battles for us.

When we preach Gods Word, it pulls down contrary mind-sets because it is the sword of the spirit.
