![]() The process of purging does not always appear a pleasant experience as it can be hard on the flesh. However the Lord knows better, and knows what ingredients are required for us to so we can bear more fruit. What does the word “purge” mean? To cleanse out or cleanse thoroughly something. ![]() Now let’s look at this scripture. John 15; 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. This verse simply means not being purged is hindering more fruit to come forth. Sometimes the Lord allows circumstances and situations our path to enhance the purging process. In such a case, we can say that “all things work together for our good” (Romans 8; 28). If you want to bear more fruit you are not exempt from purging. If you notice the verse says “Every branch in me (not some, but every) that bears fruits He purges it, that it might bring forth more fruit”. It is safe to say that some things that need to be removed from our lives are blocking the flow of more fruit. So what does the Lord purge us from? I am sure it is a long list and it will depend on individuals. If we want to bear more fruit, we must yield to the purging of the Lord. So what does that look like?
The Lord wants to get rid of some things in our lives that are hindering more fruit production. Will you yield to Him today? Bisi Oladipupo

Bisi, this is such a relevant message. We all need to undergo purging in order to become more fruitful for the Kingdom.
