Are you building according to pattern?

Everything created has a purpose. Even when human beings manufacture things, they are always  designed for a specific purpose.

As children of God, we all know that the Lord has formed each one of us uniquely for us to display what He has created us for.  Isaiah 43: 7  Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

  When the Lord leads us to do something, it always has a purpose. The Lord told Moses to build Him a tabernacle. Moses did not go off and build what he liked, Let’s look at these verses.

Exodus 25: 8-9
 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
 
Exodus 25: 40
And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

Do you have a pattern for what the Lord has called you to do or are you just going by trial and error?

I heard an interesting phrase from someone. He said that the Lord said to him “ I don’t want you to build a large church but a church with a large influence”.  This shows how careful we need to be.

We need to build according to the Lord's pattern. The Lord is the head of the church so our directions should come from Him.

So let us examine whatever we are doing and ensure that we are pleasing the Lord by doing it His way.
