Galatians 1: 15- 19 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: 17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. 18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. 19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. From the above scripture, when God called Paul he did not got for counselling or ask for permission from anyone, he just went ahead and did what the Lord told him to do. This is Pauls response “ verse 16 (I conferred not with flesh and blood).
This indicates that it does not matter who the person is , all flesh is (flesh and blood). Paul did not even go and see Peter until after 3 years (verse 18). Man-made rules and unnecessary hindrances are blocking many to simply do what God has called them to do. Do you really need to book an appointment for someone to give you permission to do what God called you to do? Yes there are times we need counsel and guidance, however many are waiting for unnecessary permission. We are all going to answer to the Lord someday. Ultimately, we are accountable to God and not man. Has the Lord told you to go and feed the poor? Then get up and go and do it. Has the Lord told you to start a workplace ministry? Then get up and go and do it. Let this echo through us personalised: Galatians 1: 15 – 16 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might ------------------(fill in the gap to what you have been told to do) ; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood We need to stop focusing on people but on the Lord. Get up and do it! Bisi Oladipupo

Nice post, Bisi. God's call upon our life is not subject to the permission of men. Our ultimate accountability is to God and not to men.

This is definitely one of the shortest and most powerful Biblical tidbits I have read in while. Reminds me of the power in the shortest verse in the Bible, "Jesus wept."
