Fight the Good Fight of Faith!

A good fight means that we have already won.

So why does the bible admonish us to “fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6; 12),  if there was no fight? The honest truth is  that as a Christian we are in a fight.

What do l mean?

When there are things contrary to what Gods word says concerning you, then you have to apply Gods strategy to it. It might mean prayer, meditating on scriptures, declaring the truth etc. of whatever strategy the Lord gives you, but it is a fight. This is why nobody can afford to be a passive Christian.

The bible will not give us “weapons of warfare” if they are not needed (2 Corinthians 10; 4 &5). Weapons are for warfare i.e. a fight.

Thank God that Jesus has already won the battle, all we have to do is enforce the victory Jesus already won for us. All authority in heaven and earth has been given unto Jesus, and He has delegated that authority to us (Matthew 28: 18-19). All we need to do, is use it and follow His guidance by the help of the Holy Spirit.

There are many ministry gifts that the Lord has raised in His body to teach us how to enforce our victory. The fight of faith, is simply enforcing the victory Jesus already won for us.

If you don’t know what we do, ask the Lord for direction and see your victory come. But don’t sit by and just wait for things to plan out without taking your stand in the authority that the Lord has given you.

Nothing catches the Lord by surprise, there is always a way of escape!.
