Learning from the Gift of Prophecy!

Have you ever been in an environment where the gift of prophecy has been in operation?

Most times the prophetic word is directed to one person or a group of people. While that is so,  we can we all learn from prophetic words and we call all be comforted. It is comforting that the Lord sees everything that is going on especially when you hear about a specific situation that a person is going through.  Most times you will hear the minister say “Please receive it, if it fits you”.

Although the word may not have been directed to you, have you ever learnt anything from a word given to someone else?

As a matter of fact, one purpose of prophecy is that “all may learn and all be comforted”.

1 Corinthians 14; 31 reads “For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted”.

I will give an example of a prophetic word amongst many that l have learnt from.

I was watching an online ministry that l follow. In summary, the man of God called out a lady and said “you owe many people money because you are doing business. He then gave the date she acquired her degree/ qualification and said “you are owing because you are not called into business. Go and get a job with your qualification”.

I found that very interesting. Not everyone is called to business, some people need to go and get a job. I am sure many other people must have learned from that.

So next time you are in a prophetic service, don’t get too concerned that you were not called out. Learn from words given to other people and be encouraged as this is one purpose of prophecy “that all may learn and be comforted”.
