Proverbs 4: 26 reads “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established”. Why do we have to think “ponder” the way of our feet? It’s because feet take us into a direction. In other words, we need to know where we are going. We live in a very distracted world, facebook, youtube, conferences, online workshops the lists goes on. While there is nothing in itself wrong with these things, we need to ask ourselves “where are we going?”. What you are investing time in, where is it taking you to?
If the Lord has placed a specific assignment in your heart for a season you might need to focus on that and let it get established. It’s easy not to get established in anything these days if care is not taken. Maybe it’s time to make a prayerful decision “This year, or for the next few months l want to be established in ----------- and that is what l will focus on. I will follow ministries that take me on the direction on where l am heading so l can be established in it. There is nothing wrong in following different ministries, sometimes we follow a ministry for a season in our lives, however we need to be focused if we are to be established in a thing. So who are you drawn to? What gifting’s are seeds in you that need to grow and get established? There are many things we need to be established in and the Lord will guide us at each season. If you are drawn to a ministry, stay in there and keeping drawing from it. The Lord wants to do something in and through you through that ministry. So let’s be wise and ask the Lord “What do you want me to focus on in this season of my life?”. Bisi Oladipupo

Great post. If you are not careful, you can be a Christian who is all over the place. We need to know what things in life are consistent with our God-given purpose and live our life accordingly.

Timeless truth, especially for pastors. So many of them suffer burnout and church mismanagement because they believe they must be established in every ministry. That is why micromanaging and being overzealous for the church does not work. God has gifted his people to work together and find their place in His kingdom, a place already established by God and which we must seek to follow. Thank you for this important reminder.

Thanks Joe, we all need to be established in what the Lord directs us to do, which is individual. Thanks for stopping by.
