The Danger of the Strange Woman!

Not a popular topic in churches today, however the bible warns us about the “strange” woman.

The word “strange” means; unusual, out of place, unfamiliar, the list goes on.

​When this word is used in content with what we are looking at here, it can imply, any woman that is not your wife, and if you are single, a lady that normally is out of character or you don’t hold the same values. 

Now let’s look at what scripture says:

Proverbs 5; 1- 6
 My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
2 That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.
 
They are many other verses in this chapter and other parts in the book of Proverbs that warns us about the strange woman.  However, one main warning l would like to bring out is found in verse 6;
“Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them”.
This verse speaks for itself.

• The strange woman is to distract from the path of life.
• The strange woman is to avoid a person thinking about the path of life.
• The strange woman is to avoid a person to consider the path of life.

How dangerous!

Proverbs 2; 19 also warns about the strange woman as a distraction from the paths of life!. Note the word used here; not just "path" but "paths of life",

He who has an ear, let him hear!.
