The Lord told His disciples “Let us pass over to the other side (Mark 4: 35)” then a storm arose to threaten it. The disciples went to meet Jesus and Jesus rebuked the storm and there was a great clam (Mark4: 39). The Lord rebuked the disciples for being so fearful and how is it that they had no faith (Mark 4: 40). This response shows that the Lord expected the disciples to rebuke the storm themselves, after all the Lord had said “Let us go to the other side”. Once they got to the other side of the sea, the man of Gadarene met Jesus and the Lord delivered this man (Mark 5: 1- 20). This tells us that if the storm had stopped them, this man would not have been delivered. Thank God that the Lord did not allow the storm to stop Him. So what storm is on your path? Could someone be waiting on the other side of the storm waiting for you? Could sailing through that storm be what will help and deliver others? Be encouraged. The Lord has given you a word. Stand by it. Do what the Lord directs, but be assured that you are sailing through and who know who will be blessed by you standing your ground. Be encouraged! Bisi Oladipupo© 22nd April 2024

Bisi, thanks for this inspirational word. Too often, we can only think about ourself when we are facing a storm of sorts in our life. But God's plan for our life is bigger than we are. Going through to get on the other side can open the door for God to use us in the lives of others.
