A sign is a symbol that points to something of more significance. Any object action, event, pattern etc. that conveys a meaning is a sign. Looking at the account when God told Moses to get the children of Israel out of Egypt, Pharaoh did not set his heart on those signs leading to hardness of heart. If Pharaoh had allowed the children of Israel to go after the first sign, he and his host would not have ended up the way they did. Exodus 4: 8 reads “And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign”. In other words, a sign has a voice. Its speaking something. Signs are given to us to us so we can apply our hearts and make the necessary changes and adjustments”. So what signs have you been ignoring? Pharaoh kept ignoring those signs and see what happened to him. Our own signs might not be as significant as that, but they are saying something. Are you coming across people regularly telling you about Jesus and sharing the gospel with you? Are you ignoring them or refusing to apply your heart to the truth? When are you going to make a decision for the Lord? Eternity is real. Do you need to adjust your life style, diet but you keep ignoring it ?. Do you need to lose weight, but yet to take active and intentional steps towards it? Do you need to increase your prayer life but not acting upon the need? Do you need to spend more time in the Word of God but still spending excess time on social media? Do you need to spend more time with your family but doing nothing about it? We all have signs that indicate some adjustments and changes are required. It’s when we keep ignoring these signs that we get into trouble. A driver that ignores a red traffic sign might end up having an unnecessary accident. Signs are to warn us. They are to give our heart an opportunity to ponder and make the necessary changes. God loves us so much and sometimes warns us with signs. The sign might be through a friend, consistent repeated pattern, circumstances, etc. The question is; what are you doing about them? Remember that there is always grace to respond. All the Lord wants is for us to respond. God loves us so much and has so much in stock for us. If you have been putting off receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, please do it today. Just call upon the Lord and ask Jesus to come into your life. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and He will. Bisi Oladipupo

yes, we must watch and heed the signs in our lives - especially when the Lord is trying to reach us. A great reminder for us all.

Good Word, Bisi. It comes to make a choice at the signs that are in front of us. A pedestrian makes a choice to cross the street, RED,YELLOW, or GREEN. Choose to cross the street when the signal reads RED...the results are obvious. In Deuteronomy 30:19, God gives the choice to a sign: "I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live."

From Genesis to Revelations and everywhere in between, the Bible is full of signs. Signs representing promises as well as warnings. We live all our lives following or ignoring signs. But of all the signs that are detrimental to our existence, there are none more important than the ones God uses to call us unto Him.
