The Spiritual Mind

A spiritual mind is a mind that focus on the things of God. On spiritual realities in Christ. A spiritual mind is a mind that puts on “the mind of Christ”.

Our actions normally stem from our minds, decisions and perspectives about life and others. These all originate from our mindsets. This is why the Bible says “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he” ( Proverbs 23: 7).

This is why it is important to be spiritually minded. Our minds have a great impact on our walk with God. How we think and what we think about.

Prayer plays a great role in the life of a believer, and so does renewing the mind.

The Bible says that “a carnal mind is enmity against God” (Romans 8: 7) this shows how our unrenewed minds can hinder our walk with God. The rest of Romans 8: 7 says “for it is not subject to the law of God and neither can it be”. The opposite of that is “a spiritual mind will be subject to the law of God.

In other words a spiritual mind will agree and obey God’s laws. This is why we must guard our eye gate and ear gates because what we see and hear regularly is framing our minds.

Life and peace is tied to  a spiritual mind.

This must be a priority for every believer.

​“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Romans 8: 6).
