Have you ever found yourself in a difficult situation? As time begins to pass , have you ever started questioning yourself? Yes there are times when we need to allow the Lord to correct us and we make the necessary adjustments. However, we do not need to do everything right before the Lord delivers us. Am l preaching sin? No, very far from it. If we truly love the Lord, we will always want to please Him. After all the wages of sin is death.
So what am l trying to say? We don’t have to have it all together before the Lord helps and deliver’s us. We are all aware of how the Lord delivered the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, with a mighty hand. Psalm 105: 37 says “He brought them forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes”. Do you think they did everything right for the Lord to move on their behalf? We can have a peep from these scriptures: Ezekiel 20: 5 - 10 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the Lord your God; 6 In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands: 7 Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. 8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. 9 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt. 10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness. Wow!!, The above verses are self-explanatory. I am not saying that we do not need to live right, Far from it. Neither am l saying that we should not repent when we have done something wrong. It is for our own good to obey the instructions of the Lord. This article is about us. We need to stop beating up ourselves when it seems what we desire isn’t coming through quickly. O l haven’t done this or that! God will do what He says He will do. We are all work in progress. Our imperfections do not stop God moving mightily on our behalf. Bisi Oladipupo

Excellent and on point! I concur with Matthew. This is the simplicity and irrefutable power of grace. The challenge is to not use it as a "license to sin" or as a gift that is only attained through emotional self-flagellation. As they say, "God is not done with us yet." Thanks, Bisi, for this timely reminder.

Thanks Bisi for sharing. What a blessing it is that our personal perfection is not a requirement in order for us to experience God's grace and favor. If it was, then grace is not grace.
