What Needs to Be Strengthened

​If you were told that something needed strengthening, it could mean any of the following:

• It’s getting weak and needs to be strengthened
• It needs to be made stronger
• It currently risks becoming ineffective if not strengthened.
• It needs to become more effective

Either way some sort of action is required.

Now let’s have a look at this scripture;

Revelation 3; 2
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

This was the message to the church at Sardis which we can all learn from.

In other words, those things addressed by the Lord needed to be strengthen otherwise they would “die”.  We need to be careful not to allow things that the Lord has given us i.e. could be relationships, gifting’s, or things that He has instructed us to do die. We need to strengthen whatever the Lord has given us.

Do you have a divine connection but you have not invested time in that relationship? Don’t let the relationship die. Invest time into it and strengthen it. You have no idea where that relationship will take you to.  Do you have gifting’s in you that need to be strengthened?  While we know that the gifting’s and callings of God are without repentance, we need to “strengthen” them by reason of use.

If you are a writer, begin to write, the more you write, the better you will become at it. That  is called “strengthening it”. Are you a teacher? Begin to teach. Ask the Lord for open doors or how to go about it. Use every opportunity to exercise yourself by reason of use.

We need to be intentional to guard and protect whatever the Lord has given us.
